The Lumis/Miz/Ciampa storyline is one of the most mysterious and intriguing programs WWE currently has going.
Triple H personally selected and called Dexter Lumis to return to WWE when Triple H became head of creative.
Since then Dexter Lumis has appeared discreetly in various RAW, SmackDown and NXT scenes. His most consistent appearances are in The Miz and Ciampa scenes.
Dexter Lumis appeared ringside and kidnapped The Miz, appeared hidden in various backstage segments and most recently appeared ominously in the back seat of The Miz’s truck while he left the arena.
Triple H and the WWE Creative team are discussing ways that all of this can lead to a possible DIY reunion with Johnny Gargano & Ciampa.
We previously reported (read below) how Triple H is designing and DIY reunion and there are multiple programs already in place for the tag-team once they do reunite.
WWE is discussing the Lumis storyline as a way that Johnny Gargano and Ciampa reunite. At the moment Ciampa is teamed with The Miz.
The concept is that Dexter Lumis is kidnapping/stalking The Miz to allow Johnny Gargano and Ciampa to reunite.
Some creative pitches include Lumis being obsessed with the idea of “The Way” reunion. Lumis also most recently appeared on a episode of NXT 2.0 and reunited with Indi Hartwell.
The Way was a professional wrestling stable who performed in WWE on the NXT brand. The group was led by Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae, and also included Austin Theory, Indi Hartwell, and Indi’s on-screen husband Dexter Lumis.
As Lumis continues the stalkings/kidnappings it will become too terrifying for The Miz who will leave his tag-team with Ciampa and thus allowing Ciampa and Gargano to reunite as DIY.
Another idea pitched by WWE creative include Johnny Gargano being responsible for the Dexter Lumis stalkings and kidnapping which would be a master plan by Johnny Gargano to free Ciampa and finally reunite DIY.
All of this is part of the new Mastermind creative direction of Triple H and WWE officials to constantly keep the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats.
