Johnny Gargano is back in WWE!
The WWE Universe was treated with a surprise return during this week’s RAW episode in Toronto when Johnny Gargano returned to the WWE Universe.
As we exclusively first reported (Read below) Triple H had been in direct contact with Gargano about a return and Gargano was one of the first stars Triple H reached out when he officially took over as head of creative.
Johnny Gargano had discussed possibly signing with AEW but the idea of a Triple H led WWE product was just too exciting for Gargano to turn down.
Both Shawn Michaels and Triple H are fans of “Johnny Wrestling’s” work and Gargano will be presented as a major star on the RAW brand.
Theory will be one of Gargano’s first matches and will play on the history the two men shared with “The Way” stable from NXT. The group stable was led by Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae, and also included Austin Theory, Indi Hartwell, and Indi’s on-screen husband Dexter Lumis.
Triple H along with the WWE creative department have discussed Theory losing his “Money In The Bank” contract briefcase in a stipulation match against other WWE Superstars, one of those other SuperStars is possibly Johnny Gargano.
Triple H has other plans for Theory and sees no real value in having Theory carry the MITB briefcase but still may do so due to Theory being one of Vince McMahon’s last “projects” before resigning. Triple H still wants to honor some of Vince McMahon’s original work.
Triple H sees Johnny Gargano as a major force and a “DIY” reunion with Ciampa also has been discussed as the tag-team is a fan favorite in the WWE Universe. A “DIY” Tag-Team Championship run on the main roster would most certainly peak fan interest and create exciting in-ring match-ups.
