On Sunday, June 1st 2025 R-Truth announced he was being released by WWE.

The following events that occurred manifested not only his return but one of the most shocking turn of events in WWE history.

But first we must establish the facts as there are much confusion and deception related to this event.

  • The release of R-Truth was 100% real as confirmed to us by our WWE sources.
  • Triple H was personally responsible for the R-Truth release.
  • The return of R-Truth was not a “storyline” or a “work” it was strictly due to the viscous backlash WWE/TKO received from WWE Superstars and the WWE Universe.

Now let’s get into what went down..

Triple H notified R-Truth his contract was not being renewed and he will no longer be employed by WWE and to not report to any upcoming WWE TV tapings.

R-Truth in modern era fashion announced his departure via social media that sparked a wildfire that led all the way up to Endeavor President Ari Emanuel.

Once the R-Truth release news broke we immediately reached out to our WWE sources who confirmed to us that many WWE Superstars were angry by how a veteran like R-Truth can just be discarded in a manner that lacked decency. We were told many WWE Superstars were going to “make their voices heard”.

Many top WWE Superstars expressed their disagreement with the R-Truth release and how it sets a bad precedent for the future of the business.

The WWE Superstars that went to bat for R-Truth included Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, The USO’s, John Cena, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Bayley, Big E, The Miz, Naty, CM Punk and many more.

Roman made The Rock aware of the situation (Triple H did not involve him in the decision making process) and The Rock proceeded to call WWE president Nick Khan and Endeavor President Ari Emanuel.

The three men agreed that the R-Truth release was in bad taste and he did not deserve that treatment especially after over 20 years of service.

R-Truth was offered a new deal directly by TKO/Endeavor leadership and the wheels set in motion for his return at Money In The Bank.

This also gave WWE a negative public perception and sent a bad message to all the other younger WWE Superstars that no matter how long you serve the company when you are no longer of value they will release you.

During the Money In The Bank post media conference Triple H was asked about the R-Truth return in which he replied “All part of the show.” Why was this conveyed as a work by Triple H no one knows.. maybe due to being overruled by his bosses and being embarrassed.

R-Truth is back! and better than ever, expect him to be involved in some interesting upcoming WWE Storylines.
