Goldberg vs The Fiend for the WWE Universal Championship is set to take place at SuperShowdown on Thursday, February, 27th at the International Arena at The Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The match was finalized last week and Bill Goldberg agreed to a big payday to appear and have a match at SuperShowdown.
WWE Legends such as Goldberg, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels have received huge paydays to appear at WWE Saudi Arabia events, far more than appearing at WrestleMania events.
The plan now is for The Fiend to successfully retain his Universal Championship against Goldberg at SuperShowDown.
The Fiend is being placed in this match to build up his character for his WWE Universal match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 (read below) and this victory will make his momentum even stronger going into the match.
Goldberg main motivation is a financial one and this is another way to stay active in professional wrestling should he choose to wrestle at WrestleMania 36 or 37, but as of right now this is the only planned program.
