Shane McMahon is back in WWE. His last match was against recently released WWE Superstar Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 37.
Shane McMahon entered the 2022 Royal Rumble as the 28th entrant as was eliminated by the winner Brock Lesnar.
WWE is now discussing plans for Shane McMahon to become more involved in other aspects of daily operations of WWE as his father reaches 77 years old this summer.
With Triple H and his entire regime being removed (read below) there are not many people Vince McMahon trusts. Who better than his own son Shane who is one of those few that Vince can 100% trust with important decisions and actions with the WWE company.
Shane McMahon produced the men’s Royal Rumble match and will continue to write other programs for both nights of WrestleMania 38.
Shane McMahon has had many ideas for both RAW and SmackDown and “RAW Underground” was one of these ideas. Believe it or not USA executives were very high on that idea and actually didn’t wanna see it go.
Shane McMahon is also handpicking stars that he sees of great value to WWE and one’s that could become the face of the company down the line.

There is also a general census backstage and in WWE offices in Connecticut that if and when WWE sells the company that there is a possibility that Shane McMahon could be left in a prominent role at the top of the company to carry on the McMahon legacy.
WWE officials are currently discussing a Shane McMahon vs Austin Theory program to possibly take place at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, TX.
The tie-in to this storyline would be the Vince McMahon mentoring of Theory and Shane McMahon would step in.
