Claudio Castagnoli also known as Cesaro is in contract negotiations with AEW to sign a multi-year deal with the company.
AEW sources confirmed to SW that both sides have been in negotiations in recent weeks.
Claudio is looking for a fresh start after his WWE contract quietly expired in February 2022. Claudio did not want to re-sign with WWE after not agreeing on his projected planned character storylines.
At this stage of his career he is more focused on being satisfied with his in-ring character work than just getting a big money contract similar to Daniel Bryan.
AEW would make a great fit for Claudio especially in BlackPool Combat Club to which he has strong ties to Daniel Bryan and Lord William Regal.
