AEW & NJPW officials are already looking forward to holding another Forbidden Door event in 2023 due to overwhelming wrestling fan and critic positive reactions.
The backstage morale at AEW is at an all-time high after this weekend’s Forbidden Door event with many talents looking at the event as a “revolutionary wrestling game changer” for years to come.
AEW x NJPW officials are ecstatic with the positive fan/critic reactions and both wrestling promotions are looking forward to a sequel to Forbidden Door.
Officials and talents from both promotions feel as if they are just scratching the surface as to what these Forbidden Door events could potentially become.
Some of AEW’s and NJPW’s biggest stars such as Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk and Naito did not appear due to injuries.
Both companies feel that they can potentially blow away the first Forbidden Door show with a even bigger and stacked Forbidden Door 2.
Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega are both really enthusiastic about a potential sequel and with strong ticket, PPV and merchandise sales in the books it’s safe to say that we are looking at a sequel.
Forbidden Door II is a wrestling fan’s dream come true. Stay tuned to SW for the latest updates.
