WWE is currently in the midst of a new era and new regime and along with any new leadership comes new changes.

One of the changes Triple H is looking at making is to the WWE Championship Belts.

Triple H has always been a huge fan of the classic “Winged Eagle” Championship belt and discussions are ongoing to possibly bringing it back.

Introduced in 1988, the “winged eagle” is arguably the most popular variation of the WWE Championship. Debuting on The Main Event during the WrestleMania III rematch between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, the classic design represented the most coveted prize in sports-entertainment for nearly a decade. In addition to The Hulkster, a number of WWE Hall of Famers proudly carried the “winged eagle” into battle, including Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

WWE officials are discussing how a current “Winged Eagle Belt” would look in today’s era and some concepts have been mocked up.

Triple H is looking to switch up many looks of titles belts, characters and show designs and fans are in for a hell of treat as we progress towards the road to WrestleMania 39. Stay tuned to SW for the latest updates.
