Vince McMahon has pulled out all the stops the get Cody Rhodes to sign his WWE Contract ahead of WrestleMania sources close to the situation tell SW.
Cody Rhodes and AEW formally went their separate ways in January 2022 after contact negations did not get finalized and the two sides went separate ways.
WWE initially offered Cody Rhodes a very lucrative deal but Cody was still undecided as of last week.
With the WWE creative department WrestleMania storyline cutoff date coming this week Vince McMahon has given Cody Rhodes one last massive final offer pitch to sign with WWE.
The multi-million dollar WWE deal would see Cody Rhodes become one of the highest paid WWE Superstars currently on the roster. Only behind Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, AJ Styles, and Seth Rollins.
The deal also includes WWE Championship title reigns which would include the WWE World Championship (In 2023) and United States, Intercontinental, and Tag-Team Championships.
These WWE Championship programs would ensure that Cody Rhodes would remain relevant in the WWE Universe and Vince McMahon has made it clear to Cody that his character would be treated differently this time around and he would not drift off into mid-card obscurity like so many WWE SuperStars end up doing.
The main hurdle for Cody Rhodes to sign back with WWE was his concern on how his character would be treated.
Other in-contract incentives include Hollywood movie access in the event he would want to venture into making movies and also reality tv opportunities. Vince McMahon has made it clear to Cody Rhodes that with connections with Hollywood (Dwane Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions) and deals already in place with NBC Universal, FOX, Peacock and E! there limitless opportunities to for Cody to become a household/mainstream name.
Vince McMahon has used all of Cody Rhodes desires to sweeten the Cody Rhodes deal and all that remains is the signature. Cody Rhodes already has had meetings with Vince McMahon (virtually) one last conference video call is scheduled to possibly finalize the deal and any finer details.
It should be noted that at the time of this report no official contract has been signed and the WWE/Cody deal is still being negotiated. Vince McMahon is hoping to finalize the deal in time for Monday Night RAW this week in Jacksonville, FL which is the home of Shad & Tony Khan, owners of ALL ELITE WRESTLING.
