The Royal Rumble 2021 is still scheduled to take place and WWE has been brainstorming ideas on how to pull off the event.
WWE will be running the 2021 Royal Rumble in late January and it is expected that WWE will push to have a set limit of minimum fans in attendance.
The 2021 Royal Rumble takes place from the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida and the larger baseball venue provides enough room for fans to keep a safe 6-foot social distancing protocol while in attendance.
If WWE gets the ok from health officials and the state of Florida to allow fans it is expected that no more than 15,000 thousand fans will be allowed into Tropicana Field and realistically it will be much less.
If WWE does not get the ok to allow fans then they will proceed to incorporate virtual fans and staff that have become a staple of the ThunderDome setting to make up for the live crowd.
2020 has been a different year to stay the least and this event will be just another example of the times we are living in. Stay tuned Slice Wrestling for the latest updates
