“The Almighty” and “CEO of the Hurt Business” Bobby Lashley successfully retained his WWE Championship at night 1 of WrestleMania 37. Lashley defeated McIntyre using the “Hurt Lock”.
Vince McMahon wanted to keep Bobby Lashley strong at WrestleMania (read below) because Vince McMahon felt that Lashley after many years in pro wrestling has earned his spot at the top of WWE and Vince McMahon likes the dynamic of MVP and Lashley dominating the RAW brand similar to Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman.
WWE is discussing a variety of plans for Bobby Lashley moving forward and these opponents are being discussed to face Lashley in the coming months.
• Bruan Strowman – Bruan beat Shane McMahon in a steel cage match at WrestleMania 37 and WWE has been looking to build up Brian’s momentum to make him into a formidable challenger for Bobby Lashley after WrestleMania 37.
• Drew McIntyre – The Scottish Psychopath passed out while in the Bobby Lashley’s “Hurt Lock” and WWE will look to continue this rivalry in the coming weeks.
• Randy Orton – RKO’s name has been brought up to face Lashley and a match between these two could be an exciting match up. Bobby Lashley would also benefit from a program with Orton’s experience and in-ring expertise.
