Heels in the wrestling industry are a critical if not the most critical character in all of professional wrestling. A great heel makes all the difference for the face to get great audience reactions and a great heel will draw heat from the audience that will make it easier for the face to get more “over”.
Usually heading into WrestleMania, WWE will set up heels as a way for the rising face to win and for them to have a “WrestleMania moment”.
This year’s WrestleMania may not be so clear cut as Vince McMahon is discussing having both Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley remain strong after WrestleMania 37.
WWE is already lining up programs for Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley after WrestleMania 37 and certain superstars are being groomed to face each champion on their respective brands.
• Roman Reigns has become white hot and reached the zenith of his career. Vince McMahon has finally gotten Roman over with the audience after years of failed programs. Besides Kenny Omega we would say Roman Reigns is the best professional wrestler in the world right now.
• Bobby Lashley is another superstar who had to take a long path to reach the top of the WWE mountain and now in 2021 he and The Hurt Business are top dogs on RAW. Having Lashley lose so soon at WrestleMania would be a booking mistake from our perspective and we can see Lashley go on a dominant run as WWE Champion.
