17x WWE Champion John Cena appeared at Backlash and announced a new event titled the “John Cena Classic”.
This new event tournament is set to feature WWE Superstars vs NXT Stars.
John Cena also announced a new “John Cena Classic Championship” that the winner of the new event will be crowned.
The “John Cena Classic” will allow the WWE Universe fans to select who they think should win the tournament regardless of the results.
John Cena remains closely involved with WWE post retirement as he wants to be regularly involved with the development of new talent.
No dates have been announced for the “John Cena Classic”.
