After 416 days as reigning champion Shayna Baszler is no longer the NXT Women’s champion. Shayna’s NXT Women’s Championship reign of 416 days is only 2nd to Asuka’s reign of 522 days.
Shayna lost the NXT Women’s championship to the 23 yr old superstar Rhea Ripley and now the discussion becomes “what’s next for Baszler?”

There are multiple ways WWE is discussing bringing Shayna Baszler up to the main roster and one of them is in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
There is another booking strategy being discussed as Vince McMahon would like to begin a program between Stephanie McMahon and Becky Lynch and have Shayna Baszler debut as Stephanie’s muscle/enforcer to take out Becky Lynch that will then lead to a match between Becky and Shayna.
WWE officials want Shayna Baszler to continue as a heel as they feel that is the best role for her character.
