AEW “Revolution” is this Sunday and the company is loooking to make a splash by bringing in some top name talent.
When AEW launched in October 2019 the landscape of professional wrestling changed and while “Dynamite” was a fresh and exciting new weekly show for wrestling fans, the roster of the promotion was not deep enough to sustain a calendar year full of weekly shows and monthly PPV’s.
AEW is looking to add to their roster this weekend and we will take a look at some possible names that could be “ALL ELITE” in the near future.
• Christian – Christian has been a top level talent in the wrestling industry for sometime now and has accumulated an impressive resume for himself
2x World Heavyweight Champion
2x ECW Champion
4x Intercontinental Champion
AEW and Christian are actively discussing a contract deal and one that would make Christian a top star in AEW. Christian’s experience and leadership ability would be useful to the younger AEW Stars and Christian would finally get the recognition he deserves in AEW and be booked on top of the card matches.
• Kurt Angle – AEW and Kurt Angle have been in discussions for months and Angle is intrigued at the concept of signing with AEW and having another run in professional wrestling. Sting and other former IMPACT wrestling alumni make signing with AEW an easy choice for Kurt Angle and different roles and storylines are being brainstormed by AEW officials. Active in-ring wrestling and managerial roles are both being discussed for Kurt Angle in AEW.
Other notable names currently in contract negotiations with AEW are
• Nick Aldis
• Kevin Nash
• RVD
• Scott Steiner
• Ryback
There’s is one other major name not listed in this report due to the fact that he has shown interest in signing with AEW but has told the promotion that he will not sign until live crowds are allowed back into arenas which is the same reason you are not seeing some of wrestling’s top names appear on any wrestling shows.
Pro Wrestling in 2021 should be much better than it was in 2020 and with less disruptions, mass distribution of the vaccine and live fans being able to return to wrestling shows, Professional Wrestling could be returning to full strength soon. Stay tuned to Slice Wrestling for the latest updates.
