WWE is at it again.
After months of booking programs, building characters, setting up storylines and developing audience interest, WWE has decided to change the course of the road to WrestleMania 36.
Roman Reigns vs The Fiend was originally set-up for months heading into WrestleMania and clear storylines were in place for this feud to kick off shortly. But Vince McMahon soon realized that having Roman beat The Fiend clean at WrestleMania would not only hurt all the work gone into building The Fiend character it also would have turned the WWE fans against Roman Reigns again after WWE has spent the majority of last year rehabilitating the Roman Reigns character.
Vince McMahon over this past weekend decided that Roman Reigns vs Goldberg was the safer choice as WWE fans would not react negatively towards Roman if he beats Goldberg.
Goldberg vs Roman would have a explosive build to their program at WrestleMania 36 as both men would utilize their spear moves on each other to see which spear is supreme.
Plans are now set and Roman Reigns vs Goldberg will be a top program on the WrestleMania 36 card. WWE has a bigger situation to navigate and that is figuring what to do with the WWE Universal Championship.
At the time of this writing, WWE is considering all factors going into The Super ShowDown special taking place this Thursday in Saudi Arabia and we have been told that just because Goldberg vs Roman is being planned it does not automatically mean that The Fiend is losing his championship to Goldberg. WWE is planning multiple scripts for the Goldberg vs Roman program and while some include the title others do not even include the Universal Championship.
Vince McMahon has the final say on all matters involving WWE as a company and as a programmed television show. He can change the course of any match with the snap of a finger and he has been known to change outcomes of matches right when WWE Superstars are set to come out for their entrance at the curtain.
