Roman Reigns is currently sitting at 850 days as WWE Undisputed Universal Champion and there looks to be no end in sight for the most dominant WWE champion of our generation.
Roman Reigns is on the top of not only the WWE Universe but of the wrestling industry as a whole.
Now WWE is discussing future plans for the Tribal Chief and leader of The Bloodline.
Recent creative meetings between WWE Officials have discussed the future of Roman Reigns and the WWE Championships.
Some scenarios have been mentioned including
• Roman Reigns vs The Rock WWE Undisputed Championship: WWE is still actively discussing plans for this match with The Rock and both sides are optimistic at getting this deal done. This match will be for all the marbles and will headline night two of WrestleMania 39. This program will feature the samoan dynasty as the backdrop to this storyline.
• Roman Reigns relinquishing the WWE World Championship: WWE may tell the story of Roman Reigns no longer needing both belts and keeps only the WWE Universal Championship thus allowing him to remain unbeaten and unpinned and allowing the WWE Championship to be up for grabs at WrestleMania Night One.
• Roman Reigns loses the WWE World Championship in a triple threat match: WWE has discussed the possibility of Roman dropping the WWE World Championship in a triple threat match where another superstars will get pinned allowing him to remain unpinned and unbeaten and keeping the WWE Universal Championship.
In all scenarios WWE officials are discussing for Roman Reigns to remain as WWE Universal Champion which he won in August 30th 2020 at the “PayBack” premium live event.
WWE considers the Universal Championship as the “top” championship in the WWE Universe and with Roman Reigns slowly reaching 1000 plus days as Champion he could go on for a even bigger historic run catching some legends on the all-time longest WWE Championship title reigns list.
• Hulk Hogan (1,474 days)
• Bruno Sammartino (1,237 days)
• Pedro Morales (1,027 days)
WWE is adamant about Roman Reigns continuing his historic run and no other superstar (even Cody Rhodes) is capable or worthy of beating/pinning Roman Reigns at this point in time in WWE eyes.
WWE understands that the WWE Universe has welcomed Cody Rhodes back with open arms and sees great potential in “The American Nightmare” as a great draw and great superstar. But if you think for one second that WWE will allow a former AEW EVP who left WWE to essentially put WWE under and almost ended NXT to pin Roman Reigns who they have spent the last decade building.. boy do you have another thing coming.
Roman Reigns was a handpicked project by Vince McMahon to develop into another all-time legend and is a WWE home grown talent that WWE will continue to protect and display as their top crowning achievement.
WWE is hard at work at finding other opportunities for other WWE superstars to get their chance to shine in the Roman Reigns era and the WWE World Championship is that option.
There will of course be other great WWE superstars in years to come but right now, in this era, in our generation there is only one. The Ones, The Head Of The Table, The Tribal Chief and he will not be stopped until he decides to walk away from WWE which won’t be for a few more years.
As WWE continues to build their next generation they also are staying the course in this generation.
