When you hear the glass, that’s your ass.
WWE is looking into bringing back the 6x WWE Champion back to the WWE Universe in time for WrestleMania 38.
WWE has been in contact with Stone Cold since last year and is negotiating a big money contract for the RattleSnake to appear and possibly wrestle a match at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, TX.
Texas is where Steve Austin is from and a return final match in his home state would certainly sell tickets for WWE’s biggest event of the year.
There is only one issue.. and that is if Stone Cold Steve Austin is willing to come out of retirement for a match. Steve had repeatedly said he has nothing left to prove and him returning could possibly tarnish his legacy. Steve Austin is currently undecided if he will take WWE up on his offer and the current mindset is Stone Cold is undecided at this moment.
WWE and Vince McMahon are in panic mode at the moment and realize they do not have enough Star power for two nights back-to-back for WrestleMania ,especially in a size crowd of AT&T Stadium that can fit 100,000 people. Vince McMahon is calling anyone and everyone to try to get big names for WrestleMania 38.
The current plan if all goes through is for a Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Kevin Owens match to take place at WrestleMania 38. If WWE cannot come to a deal with Steve Austin than a segment/promo with Kevin Owens would be a back up plan.
WWE views Kevin Owens as a suitable opponent for Stone Cold Steve Austin as both men use the “Stunner” finisher and his heel persona and brash attitude and fighting style work well with Stone Cold’s mud hole stomping style.
WWE is set to met with Stone Cold Steve Austin again later this month and a decision is expected to made final soon.
Stone Cold Steve Austin appearing at WrestleMania 38 would be great for the WWE Universe. Stay tuned to Slice Wrestling for the latest updates.
