WWE officials are discussing bringing back one of their legendary championship belts for Cody Rhodes.
We previously reported (read below) on WWE bringing back the Winged Eagle Championship belt on August 26th 2022. (You see there is a strategic mastermind way in the way we spoil.) And now WWE is having advanced discussions on this legendary belt returning.
Cody Rhodes won the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match and locked on his date with destiny at WrestleMania 39 when the American Nightmare will have a mega showdown with the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
Cody Rhodes has repeatedly explained that he wants to “Finish The Story” that was started by his late father Dusty Rhodes.
Dusty Rhodes who competed in WWE for many years never won the WWE World Championship and The American Nightmare is here in WWE complete his family’s destiny by climbing to the top of the WWE mountain.
Cody Rhodes is in the midst of a mega push and he has requested to Triple H and Bruce Prichard that if he was to indeed win the WWE World Championship that he would like to carry the WWE Winged Eagle belt.
The Winged Eagle Belt is one of the most prestigious belts in all of professional wrestling history. On February 5, 1988, just before ending his first championship reign, Hogan introduced the “Winged Eagle” championship belt which became the primary design for the next decade with many wrestlers holding this version, and is considered the most popular design of the championship. Its nickname is derived from the eagle’s wings seemingly coming off of the center plate, which included the block WWF logo and read “World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion”.
WWE officials are having serious discussions on the return of the Winged Eagle belt for Cody Rhodes as they feel would bring an exciting new but yet nostalgic era to the WWE Universe along with being a unique and different way to present The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
