WWE higher officials are currently discussing a Stone Cold vs CM Punk mega dream match to take place at WrestleMania 39.
WWE is discussing ways with their legal department on how to configure CM Punk’s release from his current AEW contract.
Tony Khan (AEW CEO) is currently in the midst of a huge AEW dilemma in deciding on how to work through the CM Punk situation.
On one hand he understands CM Punk is his biggest draw and in the other he understands CM Punk is his biggest venom to the AEW locker room.
WWE officials are awaiting the final Tony Khan decision on how to proceed.
WWE wants to escalate the release of CM Punk before deciding on how to book WrestleMania 39.
Stone Cold is awaiting the call from WWE officials on what the outcome is with CM Punk but he is 100% on board with the mega dream match as he and CM Punk were previously teasing a huge match while promoting WWE 2K13 video game (watch below) and the match never came to reality.
This will be huge draw for WWE and and a huge WWE fan life-long dream match come true. Tony Khan is aware of WWE’s plans and is hesitant of releasing CM Punk or buying out his contract before WrestleMania 39.
WWE officials must wait on Tony Khan before deciding on how to proceed but all indications are Stone Cold and CM Punk are both intrigued about the possibility of this dream match taking place at WrestleMania 39.
