Bad Bunny blew the roof off the Coliseo de Puerto Rico arena when he made his grand entrance in the hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
WWE officials were flabbergasted at the energy, engagement and overall participation of the Puerto Rico crowd.
Vince McMahon and Triple H perceive Bad Bunny as the ultimate celebrity wrestler in the sense that he provides WWE with so much mainstream media attention when he appears in WWE.
Damian Priest (a fellow Puerto Rican) trained Bad Bunny and allied with Bad Bunny and helped him win the WWE 24/7 Championship from Akira Tozawa on the February 15th 2022 episode of Raw. On the March 15th episode, he relinquished the 24/7 Championship to R-Truth in exchange for “Stone Cold” Steve Austin memorabilia, ending his reign at 28 days. At WrestleMania 37, Bad Bunny teamed with Damian Priest in a tag team match to defeat The Miz and John Morrison in his in-ring wrestling debut.
At the 2022 Royal Rumble on January 29th, Bad Bunny returned to WWE, competing in the men’s Royal Rumble match. He eliminated Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler and lasted until the final five, when he was eliminated by the eventual winner, Brock Lesnar.
WWE gladly works with Bad Bunny on his schedule and makes sure that Bad Bunny gets to create the match and storylines he likes.
WWE officials are discussing Bad Bunny to return at a major upcoming WWE Premium Live Event and SummerSlam in Detroit, MI has been mentioned along with WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, PA.
Bad Bunny is the biggest music star in the Universe and WWE is lucky to have him as a celebrity wrestler who is a childhood fan and his return will be a huge attraction for the WWE Universe.
