WWE Finalizing Deal To Sign Matt Cardona In Time For WrestleMania 39, BackStage Details And More

Matt Cardona and WWE are in the final stages of finalizing a deal that would see him to return to the promotion.

Matt Cardona has not been seen in a WWE ring since the Monday Night RAW episode on March 9th, 2020. Matt Cardona was released by WWE after 15 years due to being part of a round of budget cuts stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matt Cardona is excited to return to the WWE Universe after finding great success on the independent wrestling scene the last two years.

WWE will be looking to present Matt Cardona in much more serious manner this time around and early creative plans call for him to go by the Matt Cardona name and gimmick. WWE wants Cardona to return as a bigger star upon his arrival and early plans are in place to display him as such.

Cody Rhodes who is a real-life close personal friend to Matt Cardona played a pivotal role in Matt returning to WWE and Cody Rhodes returning as a big star gave other former WWE stars hope that they too could one day return under better circumstances.

Cody and Cardona speak frequently and the locker room change of culture at WWE has intrigued Matt Cardona of a return and his character having a better run with Triple H and Bruce Prichard at the helm controlling all WWE creative storylines.

WWE officials are discussing a Matt Cardona return in time for WrestleMania 39 and a surprise appearance is the plan.

It will be great to see Matt Cardona get his due after spending so many years in the WWE Universe as a home welcoming begins to be in the works.
