WWE is looking to make this year’s WrestleMania a big deal by having returning attitude era stars appear.
WWE is discussing Shawn Michaels vs AJ Styles to take place at WrestleMania 38 and be one of the co-main events.
Shawn Michaels has always been interested in a match against AJ Styles as he views styles as the best in-ring wrestler in the world. HBK is also intrigued at the possibility to wrestle at WrestleMania in Texas, his home state.
Shawn Michales vs AJ Styles almost happened at the 2017 Royal Rumble which took place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
WWE officials were in advanced negotiations for the match in 2017 and even had the storyline build fully written when the match never came to being agreed upon Vince McMahon kept this dream match written in his “Book” and saved it for another show.
WWE is offering huge contracts to all-time greats such as Stone Cold and HBK to appear at WrestleMania 38 as Vince McMahon’s main concern going into WrestleMania is lack of star power.
The moving plan as it stands right now is to have Shawn Michaels vs AJ Styles co-headline one night and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Kevin Owens (read below) co-headline another. Both Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin have to agree to these contracts but it is certainly on the table.
WWE is attempting to give fans a truly special WrestleMania while also attempting to sell out both nights of the 100,000 person capacity AT&T Stadium.

This road to WrestleMania 38 will be a special one. Stay tuned to Slice Wrestling for the latest updates.
