USA Network is not happy they have lost one of the hottest acts professional wrestling.
Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” character has been drafted to FOX’s SmackDown show, USA officials did not like the draft pick going to FOX as USA considers The Fiend a major ratings draw.
TV statistics show audiences tuned in to RAW for The Fiend character more than any other star or segment.
The Fire Fly Fun House segments are also one of the highest ratings draws in recent WWE history.
Bigger names like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were also drafted to SmackDown and USA feels they got the short end of the WWE draft pool.
FOX officials were adamant on getting Brock Lesnar and The Fiend to SmackDown. WWE felt the need to keep the FOX network happy due to the amount of money FOX is paying WWE.
WWE’s main priority is to keep The Fiend protected and do not let the star take any losses as a precaution to keep the character special.
WWE made it clear to both USA and FOX that WWE reserves the right to switch Superstars every year during the annual WWE draft.
