Randy Orton is returning to WWE action and WWE officials are discussing plans for “The Viper’s” return.
WWE is planning for Randy Orton to return by WrestleMania 39 weekend in California.
Randy Orton has been out of WWE action since May 2022 and WWE officials had been planning a Randy Orton vs Matt Riddle program before his injury. On a side note WWE is having major backstage issues with Matt Riddle as of late. There is nuclear heat on Riddle right now.
WWE wants Randy Orton to make his grand return to WWE by WrestleMania weekend and plans are being discussed for The Viper to begin a program with a major WWE SuperStar.
WWE is discussing Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes to kick off at some point after WrestleMania 39.
WWE will play off the two having a long history and the story of both of their journeys taking a similar path. WWE will revisit their time as “Legacy” stable mates which was a group led by Randy Orton and included Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr.
WWE feels a heel Randy Orton against Cody Rhodes will have tremendous drawing potential.
