Since Endeavor purchased WWE in 2023 there has been significant changes to the WWE product.
Endeavor which is the parent company of both WWE and UFC have instructed that they want both brands to be presented as a professional sports league.
WWE fans have already seen some of this that may have slipped past most fans.
WWE has begun filming WWE Superstars when they arrive for premium live events and ring announcers and GM’s begin shows and matches with a boxing/sports like introduction to the program.
This will continue to become more apparent and normal as we progress and more changes to the presentation of shows and interviews and characters are being planned.
“Endeavor wants WWE to be seen like a the MMA brand UFC. They are making changes to the shows.” – A WWE source tells SW.
Interviews and documentaries are being planned for WWE when they make their move to Netflix in 2024. This will be a major part in the changing of WWE’s style and look.
Endeavor also wants the booking of start lines and matches to be less wrestling logic and more sports logic with the wins and losses not deciding factors as much as big name WWE Superstars who will get the big championship matches.
As Endeavor along with TKO continue to mold this new future for WWE it will be exciting to see these new ideas and concepts take shape.
Stay tuned to SW for the latest updates.
