Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle joined forces on this week’s RAW and set up a new tag-team.
Matt Riddle’s character had been somewhat as a “floating charectar” in which he has no real alliance and/or direction.
Drew McIntyre has been in contract negotiations with WWE the past few months and most of the unsettled differences stem from Drew McIntyre not happy with his current character’s direction.
“Drew wants to be on the level of Roman, Cody and Seth. He wants his character to be taken more serious.” A WWE source tells SW
We previously reported that WWE and Drew McIntyre have discussed the possibility of him turning heel (read below) and WWE officials want to use a new heel Drew McIntyre to go on a major run on the RAW brand.
The new character will reflect more of the “real” Drew McIntyre and make him edgier with a new look and and entrance.
WWE is developing many storylines that will be exciting for the WWE Universe and Drew McIntyre’s evolution will be a can’t miss event.
