The WWE Universe has not seen The Fiend and/or Bray Wyatt in over a year. His last match was against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37 on April 11th, 2021.

WWE (more so Vince McMahon) released Bray Wyatt on July 31st, 2021. At the time details were scarce on to why WWE would release one of the WWE Universe’s biggest stars and also one of their biggest merchandise sellers.

The issues between Vince McMahon and Bray Wyatt (Real Name Windham Lawrence Rotunda) stemmed from creative differences over The Fiend character.

McMahon had paired The Fiend with Alexa Bliss and the character began to lose direction as the whole storyline became somewhat childish and comedic. When Wyatt approached McMahon to switch up the character – McMahon refused due to Alexa Bliss’s “Toy Doll” making major merchandise sales.

At that point McMahon felt it was best to let Wyatt go as all this was happening during a time when WWE was releasing wrestlers due to budget cuts.

Triple H has taking over since Vince McMahon resigned and he has been in contact with previously released superstars. Hunter currently has a list and Wyatt is at the top of that list of names he wants back in WWE.

After recent negotiations WWE and Wyatt are close to a multi-million dollar deal that sees Bray Wyatt terrorizing the WWE Universe for years to come.

There had been recent talks between Bray Wyatt and AEW with significant contract offers but ultimately Bray Wyatt feels that under Triple H he can really unleash The Fiend character to it’s maximum potential as he will have much more creative freedom with Triple H.

Triple H plans on making The Fiend one of the top WWE SuperStars in company and WWE Championship runs have also been discussed including WrestleMania main events.

Bray Wyatt has unlimited ideas for his character that he was never really allowed to produce under Vince McMahon. Some of these ideas include cinematic horror style vignettes and matches that Triple H will allow him to create a source tells SW.

Triple H is fully aware of the in-ring, storyline and merchandise power Bray Wyatt possesses and wants to make him one of the featured attractions of this new era.

As WWE moves into this new generation a unleashed Fiend character would be something to behold. He has been asking us to “Let Him In” and Triple H just opened the door.

WWE is becoming exciting once again and the road to WrestleMania 39 is coming soon and it is sure to be an explosive ride. Stay tuned to Slice Wrestling for the latest updates.
